Hull City Council’s long-term vision for the future of the city centre, following the city’s year as the UK City of Culture and ongoing ambition to be a world-class visitor destination, has been presented to investors. The plans demonstrate Hull City Council’s commitment to evolve the offer in Hull, making the city less reliant on retail and delivering a long-term sustainable city centre economy as the national picture for the high street remains challenging. The sites outline the possibility for as many as 2,500 homes and apartments to be built in the city centre, as well as opportunities for leisure and retail.
