The Clive Sullivan and Rugby in Hull Exhibition at the Street Life Museum features memorabilia from Clive’s family. Clive Sullivan played Rugby League for both Hull KR and Hull FC, as well as representing Wales at international level.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Rosalyn Sullivan said:
“I’m really proud and the family are really proud. I think it’s important that people see what Rugby meant to Clive and what he achieved in the game, because Clive loved the city and loved the people of Hull.
“I think he gave them a lot of pleasure and always had a lot of time for them.”
Councillor Rob Pritchard, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure said:
“It’s very important what Clive’s done and what he did for the city. He’s one of the few players to score 100 tries for Rovers and 100 tries for Hull
“But also he’s the man behind the road, and I think it’s important to remember the heroes we have in Hull, what they did, and what they achieved and it’s important to remember that.
