The Queens Gardens bandstand will be moved to Pickering Park as part of the £4.3m redevelopment of the gardens.
Hull City Council will relocate the bandstand to the rose garden in Pickering Park.
That means each of the city’s Victorian parks will have a bandstand as one of its features.
Councillor Daren Hale, portfolio holder for regeneration and economic investment at Hull City Council, said: “Given the bold new plans for Queens Gardens, it feels that the bandstand no longer fits with the design plan, as music stages will regularly be fitted elsewhere in the gardens for one-off events.
“We are delighted that the bandstand will be re-sited in one of the city’s foremost parks, Pickering Park, where it can enjoy a new lease of life.”
The bandstand was introduced to Queens Gardens to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Humberside Police Concert Band, which is supporting the relocation.
The band said it would be happy to play at an opening ceremony in Pickering Park and at subsequent regular slots throughout the summer months over the coming years.
Plans for the refurbishment of the gardens went on display as part of a public consultation earlier this year.
The refurbished Queens Gardens will create a link between some of the city’s key maritime heritage sites as part of the £27.4m Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City project.
