Hull organisations have benefited from a fund of almost £1 million that has been raised through a public appeal from the National Emergencies Trust (NET) in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The appeal, which has raised £500,000 in the last month, is in partnership with the British Red Cross.
Local organisations that have benefited include Bundles of Joy, a providing maternity support in Hull and East Yorkshire, Second Thoughts, which providing mental health support services, and Vulcan Boxing Club, which is supporting young people at risk of food poverty.
Locally, the grants are being distributed by the Two Ridings Community Foundation.
Two Ridings is a partner of Hull City Council, delivering grants and support throughout Hull.
In the past three weeks, 59 local organisations have been awarded grants totalling nearly £106,000 by Two Ridings.
