A magazine for people who love Hull will land on doormats across the city next week.
Love Hull magazine launched in the summer with a debut edition featuring interviews, highlights and updates on the biggest things going on in the city.
And the second edition of the magazine promises to be even more popular than the first.
The autumn/winter edition will feature an eight-page pull-out guide to what’s going on across the city over the autumn and winter.
It also has updates on some of the major projects taking place across the city such as the Whitefriargate regeneration and plans for the refurbishment of Queens Gardens.
There are also interviews with residents sharing their stories of Hull.
Councillor Stephen Brady, leader of Hull City Council, said: “The first edition of the magazine was so successful, with positive feedback and praise from all corners of the city.
“This magazine is going to every home in Hull because we want to make it easier for everyone to find out about all the great things that are happening, which includes lots of free family events and activities.
“People access information in lots of different ways. Not all residents can or want to receive information electronically, so it’s important that the council recognises this and makes sure that we reach every resident.”
The publication is an important part of Hull City Council’s multi-channel communications plan, ensuring the local authority can communicate with all residents and communities, including those that don’t have access to the internet.
It also includes essential information so residents can make the most of the council’s support services.
Research from the Hull People’s Panel showed 61 per cent of residents prefer to receive information directly from the council and its partners.
Residents also said they particularly want to hear more about events that are taking place in the city.
