Northern Gas Networks to carry out works for four more weeks

Northern Gas Networks will carry out essential gas replacement works for an extra four weeks in Wincolmlee, Hull.

NGN had been due to finish the project on Monday 22 April. But technical difficulties mean the work will now be completed on Monday 20 May.

Current road closures will remain in place from the junction of Station Drive cycle track to junction of Fountain Road.

Site manager Dave Johnson said: “We would like to thank all our customers for their patience whilst we complete these essential works. We are very sorry for the inconvenience these works are causing.”

The £475,000 investment is part of NGN’s ongoing development of infrastructure in the area. It involves replacing 440 million of existing metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes.

Work to repair potholes will take place in Hull.
