Cllr Linda Tock, the council’s portfolio holder for children’s services, said: “National Care Leavers Month is a wonderful initiative and one which the council is proud to be participating in.
“It gives us the opportunity to really celebrate the achievements on our care-experienced young people, raise awareness of the challenges they face and highlight support available to help them to thrive.
“The council and the city as a whole are proud to stand with our care leaves and ensure their voices, ambitions and futures matter.”
The Blue Diamond Awards are supported by Hull College, KWL, Nurture a Child and the council’s regeneration team.
