As Hull City AFC prepares to host Premier League big-hitters Manchester United this weekend, the Leader of Hull City Council, Councillor Mike Ross says Hull is ready to see visitors from across the country arrive into the city.

“As a city, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome fans from across the country as Hull City kicks off an incredibly exciting return to the Premier League.

“Whether you’re coming for matchday or making a weekend out of it, our city’s tourism offer is shining brighter than ever – especially with our recent completion and launch of the Hull Maritime offer, including the landmark reopening of the magnificent Maritime Museum.

“There’s never been a better time to experience everything Hull has to offer.”

Away fans arriving by train will be greeted at Paragon Interchange by guides. HEY Volunteers will also be on-hand to deliver information from a tourist information bicycle that will be on the station concourse on match days.

Local hotels will be provided with refreshed area maps that will provide details on getting to and from the MKM Stadium, which will be supported by a dedicated webpage on Visit Hull. The page provides tailored information for football fans planning a visit to the city, encouraging visitors to stay longer and discover more whilst in Hull.

Dedicated lamppost banners will adorn key streets in the city centre and the walking route down to the MKM Stadium along Carr Lane and Londesborough St, alongside digital board advertising. Hull City Council and Visit Hull social media channels will also include welcome information for visitors.
