New Hull Funeral Services webpage launched

A new Hull Funeral Services webpage has been created to support those dealing with the sad passing of a family member or friend.

The webpage details alternative options that are available to keep costs down, whilst still having a respectful and professional funeral.

There are two types of funeral packages available, attended or unattended cremations, which are delivered by Hull City Council.

Anyone opting for a cremation as part of these packages will know that that this will be a dignified service held at Chanterlands Crematorium (adjacent to Northern Cemetery, below) and know that their loved ones will be cared for locally.

The council’s portfolio holder with responsibility for crematoria and cemeteries, Councillor Ted Dolman, said: “Our experienced, dedicated and sympathetic bereavement officers help to create a respectful, caring and personalised farewell, all at an affordable price.

“It’s also important to be clear to the people of Hull that all arrangements for these funerals can take place in the city, including cremation at Chanterlands Crematorium, which is a peaceful and pleasant place to remember or pay tribute to someone.”

Funeral prices start at £850, which includes the services of a dedicated bereavement officer who can make all the arrangements.

Hull Funeral Services staff can also offer advice about financial support available via the government to help with funeral costs.
