On Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 March, and Saturday 17 – Sunday 18 March, between 7am on Saturday and 11pm Sunday, Greenwood Avenue will be closed to through traffic.
Traffic diversion routes will be as follows:
Beverley Road, Hall Road, Orchard Park Road and Ellerburn Avenue
Cranbrook Avenue and Endike Lane
Stagecoach service 4 will be diverted via Cottingham Road and Cranbrook Avenue to Greenwood Avenue, missing out Beverley Road between Cottingham Road and Greenwood Avenue.
Councillor Alan Clark, portfolio holder for highways and transport, said:
We are carrying out these essential works during the weekend in order to minimise disruption to motorists and businesses.
Residents in the area have already been informed of the works which are taking place, and whilst every effort will be made to keep to the works programme this may not always be possible due to circumstances beyond our control such as adverse weather conditions.
We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
