Details of Hull’s bumper Christmas weekend have now been revealed as the build for this weekend’s event have started in the city centre.
Performances on the main stage in Queen Victoria Square will delight audiences of all ages with short pantomime Jack & the Beanstalk (Saturday only) at 10.30am and 2pm, live singers, choirs and a DJ playing Christmas tunes, along with Christmas light switch-on compere Darren Lethem.
Whilst enjoying the outdoor entertainment, over 50 stalls will line the square and King Edward St, as well as Trinity Square. A children’s fairground swing ride will also be on offer.
Those wanting to warm up will find more festive entertainment live on a second stage in Princes Quay shopping centre.
Take a walk down Whitefriargate to sample street entertainment and on Saturday enjoy a Victorian Christmas market in Trinity Square and Hull Minster.
The whole weekend is wrapped up with Hull Museum’s Victorian Christmas which also takes place across Saturday and Sunday in the Museums Gardens, High Street, in Hull’s Old Town.

Joining the festive offer, Hull Trains are working with Visit Hull to offer free travel to and from Hull from Doncaster, Selby, Howden and Brough on selected services in November and December. Ticket bookings for this weekend are already proving incredibly popular.
