Families looking for fright-tastically free Halloween events are invited to Hull Training and Adult Education’s (HTAE) seasonal activities this month.
A spook-tacular line-up of family-friendly workshops and activities, perfect for children aged four to 11, is being hosted.
Halloween family crafting workshops will begin at The Avenues Education Centre on Park Avenue this week, running for three consecutive Wednesdays, starting 8 October, with a different theme each week.
An adults-only Halloween Witch’s Hat Door Wreath workshops will be held on Monday 27 October from 1-4pm at The Freedom Centre on Preston Road.

The activities return to Park Avenue on Thursday 30 October for ‘Dark Park Ave 2025’ for more activities, including pumpkin carving and Halloween felting.
Cllr Linda Tock, portfolio holder for Hull Training at Hull City Council, said: “This is a brilliant initiative by Hull Training and Adult Education.
“To be able to provide free Halloween activities during the school holidays and at more than one location means that they are accessible to all of our families in Hull, matching the council’s ambition for a fairer and more inclusive city.
“No doubt there will be some fantastic costumes on display and I am sure that everyone will enjoy the workshops.”
All activities are free, all materials are provided and spooky costumes are encouraged. There must be one adult per every two children in attendance and children must be supervised at all times.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential for certain workshops.
The remainder of the workshops being held over the half-term week at The Freedom Centre are already fully booked.
