High ropes course open for bookings

Hull Adventure Centre’s exhilarating new high ropes course is open to be public.

The unique 20-pole course incorporated over the karting track has now been completed, providing an exclusive experience as visitors explore and undertake challenging obstacles in the air whilst karts race below them.

The course culminates in a 100m zip line to provide an exciting finale for customers at the east Hull multi-activity facility.

Additions also feature special team building facilities, including a Jacob’s Ladder and crate stack, to enable Hull Adventure Centre to work with a variety of different groups from across the community including schools, youth groups, the voluntary sector and businesses.

This will provide a fun and exciting way to get people outdoors and involved in exercise, as well as helping to build teamwork, leadership, collaboration, communication, problem solving and trust.

All the new features are available for booking from tomorrow, Friday 16 May.

John Haines, manager at Hull Adventure Centre, said: “This is fantastic that we’re able to welcome bookings for the new high ropes course.

“In just over a year, we’ve significantly expanded our offering to provide a wide range of activities to suit everyone, from youth sectors, voluntary organisations and businesses.

“With half-term approaching, it’s a great way to spend have some family fun and we look forward to welcoming everyone.”

The high ropes are the latest addition to Hull Adventure Centre’s ever-expanding portfolio following its rebrand in March 2024 which saw bubble ball football, tag archery and dodgeball introduced as it marked 20 years of Hull Karting.

The works were completed by contractors High-Low Ropes Course Consulting Ltd.

Director Ali Glendinning said: “This track is completely bespoke to not just Hull, but anywhere in the world.

“There is no other high ropes facility which is suspended over a karting track in the world, so to design it around the track layout was a unique challenge.”
