What’s on in Hull – February 2025

With what always feels like the longest month of the year now in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to look forward to some fantastic things taking place in Hull this February.

Mary and the Hyenas

Hull Truck Theatre, Friday 7 February until Saturday 1 March

Written by critically acclaimed Hull playwright Maureen Lennon, Mary and the Hyenas explores the astonishing life of Mary Wollstonecraft – a trail blazer and literary pioneer, raised in Beverley and known across the world.

Jam-packed with music, words of defiance and empowerment, join the ensemble cast on a whirlwind journey through history, sweeping us up in the birth of feminism as told through the eyes of a petticoat wearing pioneer and her friends.

Hull Trinity House Tours

Hull Trinity House, Monday 10 February until Monday 14 April

Have you ever wondered “What is Hull Trinity House”? Long regarded as one of Hull’s best kept secrets, Hull Trinity House is opening its doors to the public.

Come and learn about the history dating back to 1369 when Hull, formerly known as Wyke until 1299, was still a developing town. See rare and valued artefacts which include nautical memorabilia, furniture, artworks and treasures from around the globe.

An Inspector Calls

Hull New Theatre, Tuesday 11 February until Saturday 15 February

Stephen Daldry’s multi award-winning National Theatre production of JB Priestley’s classic thriller returns after a record-breaking, sell-out tour in 2022.
