Made Smarter will be hosting a free manufacturers' workshop.

Made Smarter’s free manufacturers workshop

Hull & East Yorkshire Made Smarter Team, in partnership with advisors from the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce and the local Department for Business and Trade (DBT), is holding an Exporting for Manufacturers workshop.

The free event is part of International Trade Week and is aimed at the manufacturing sector of Hull & East Riding.

Businesses keen to obtain updates on changes or support to help them to increase their potential to export their products to the international market are welcome to attend.

Staff from the Chamber of Commerce and DBT International Trade Advisors will be on-hand to provide a combination of knowledge transfer and information exchange, as well as the opportunity for one-to-ones.

The workshop will commence with a welcome from Kirk Akdemir, Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce president, before two DBT Export Champions will share their practical experience of exporting, attending overseas exhibitions and simple tips to working in the international market.

Teresa Chalmers, chief operating officer for Hull & East Yorkshire Business Growth and Skills Hub, said: “This shows the commitment of the Growth Hub in supporting local businesses with their ambitions.

“We’re delighted to partner with the Chamber and DBT to host this free event and we look forward to welcoming businesses from across the region.”

Exporting for Manufacturers will begin with refreshments from 10am on Tuesday 12 November at Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, 34-38 Beverley Road, Hull, HU3 1YE.
