A six-week consultation period is underway today giving the public the opportunity to find out how their feedback has been incorporated into plans for Spring Bank Conservation Area’s regeneration project.
Home, business and property owners in the conservation area are urged to take part in the latest consultation to discover how plans are progressing, how feedback from the initial consultation has been incorporated and to have their say on proposals for the area.
Following the completion of the Spring Bank Conservation Regeneration Plan Project between April and September 2023, formal consultation is being undertaken on the planning documents created as part of the project.
These documents are – Character Appraisal, Shop Front Design Guide and Master Plan.
The Master Plan incorporates messages received during earlier consultation in 2023 and addresses how some of the negative points raised can be improved upon.
Meanwhile, the Shop Front Design Guide is intended to be used by building owners in Spring Bank Conservation Area and the council would like feedback on these proposals.
The public consultation has begun and will run until Sunday 7 April.
There will also be an in-person drop-in session at Hull Deaf Centre at Ferens Hall, 63 Spring Bank, from 3-7pm on Thursday 7 March, where members of the council’s planning team will be on hand to discuss proposals and answer questions visitors may have.
A British Sign Language translator will be in attendance.

Leaflets will be distributed to properties within the conservation area, whilst copies of the consultation documents will be left in the Guildhall reception.
