Visit Hull and East Yorkshire launch Hullywood photography competition

An appeal for Hullywood photographs is being made ahead of the launch of a new visitor guide, with the chance to win an exciting prize.

Residents and visitors have the opportunity to feature in the new Hull Visitors Guide, by contributing photographs taken whilst Hullywood filming has been taking place across the city.

These could have been taken over the decades, from Only Fools and Horses’ to the most recent shoots of Enola Holmes or the Blitz.

The photographs will be judged by a panel of staff from the Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) team, who will select the winning image.

Not only will the winner feature in the new guide, but they will also receive two tickets to a show of their choice at Connexin Live (subject to availability), making the perfect Christmas present.

Councillor Rob Pritchard, Hull City Council’s Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure, said: “This photography competition is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to showcase their creativity, whilst capturing the city’s iconic Hullywood moments.

“With tickets for a show at Connexin Live up for grabs, I am sure that many people will be motivated to enter, so let the competition commence!

“I look forward to seeing the entries in the new Hull Visitors Guide. Thank you in advance to everyone who gets involved.”

The competition is open from Wednesday 1 November to Thursday 30 November 2023.

All pictures submitted should be sent in a digital format, at least 3MB in size.

To submit an image, message VHEY on Twitter, or email Tina.reynolds@vhey.co.uk.
