Roads across Hull are scheduled to receive surface dressing next week.

Hull City Council will begin surface dressing several roads across the city on Monday 3 July, with work due to be complete on Thursday 17 July, weather permitting.

In total, 10 roads will be resurfaced which will require road closures, diversion routes and over-night working.

Advanced warning signs will be in place, with residents in the affected areas informed via letter drops one week prior to work starting on each site.

Access for residents will be maintained by Hull City Council when possible. However, there may be short periods when access is restricted.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, Portfolio Holder for Roads, and Transport said: “Surface dressing is essential for keeping these roads in the city well-maintained and safe for all road-users.

“We’ll do all we can to minimise disruption, and we sincerely apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused while the works are carried out.”
