Essential maintenance works on Inglemire Lane will take place on Monday 6 November Monday 4 December.
Inglemire Lane will be closed to through traffic between Beverley Road and Cranbrook Avenue to allow these essential carriageway repairs to be carried out.
Councillor Alan Clark, portfolio holder with responsibility for Streetscene, said:
The four week closure is vital so that the works can be carried out safely and thoroughly in order to improve the condition of the road, and ensure the highway provides a safe and even surface for traffic with adequate grip and skid resistance.
We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during the period of the works.
The signed diversion route will be via Beverley Road, Cottingham Road and Cranbrook Avenue, or Beverley Road, Greenwood Avenue and Cranbrook Avenue depending on the direction of travel. Access for residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
Advance warning signs will be displayed for motorists and access will be maintained at all times for emergency service vehicles.
