Hull Fair

Walton Street, HU3 6JU, 7-15 Oct 2022, various times

Hull Fair is back! One of the largest travelling fun fairs in Europe returns with more than 250 rides and attractions this year. The fair’s opening ceremony takes place on the first Friday with the Lord Mayor of Kingston Upon Hull ringing the opening bell.

Experience traditional favourites such as palm reading, waltzers, dodgems, alongside new and plenty of fun-fair food for you to enjoy.

Don’t miss a performance inspired by one of the highlights of the city’s calendar – Hull Fair! This immersive experience is sure to be all the fun of the fair – the louder you scream, the faster they go.

Inspired by likes of Rau Charles, Nina Simone and Etta James, Late Night Marauders evoke visions of smoky basement clubs in the 1950’s where beatniks and jazz heads would party.

Candyfloss and Carousels was commissioned by Hull Jazz Festival as part of its Kickstart commission programme.

Rugby League World Cup: New Zealand vs. Jamaica

MKM Stadium, HU3 6HU, 22 Oct 2022, 7:30pm

The Rugby League World Cup visits Hull with the pinnacle event in international rugby league. This year, more teams than ever will take part, with four groups of nations competing for the trophy.

The men’s match between New Zealand and Jamaica will be the first of two dates in Hull, with double header line-up taking place at the stadium in November.

New rivalries will form, old ones will play out with vigour. Pre-game Hakas, Sipi Taus and hymns will set the stage for clashes of epic proportions.

Ministry of Steampunk Hulloween Festival

Multiple Venues, 28-30 Oct 2022, various times

Ministry of Steampunk presents the Hulloween Steampunk Festival, featuring plenty of jam-packed programme that caters for everyone across the city.

Discover steampunk artwork and markets, city centre walking tours, a special Hulloween Ball at The Guildhall and a finale parade through Museum Gardens.

Hull Horror Fest 2022

Costello Stadium, HU4 6XQ, 29 Oct 2022, 10am

With Halloween just around the corner, get in the spooky spirit this year with Hull’s very own horror themed Comic-Con for all ages.

Expect special guests from film & television, horror authors, creepy clowns and zombies, a huge horror marketplace and more. Booking tickets early is advised and will ensure you can enter the event via a fast-track entry.
