Roadworks sign

Weekly roadworks update – October 29

This week, it was announced that overnight resurfacing works would be taking place from Monday November 8 as part of the Stoneferry improvement scheme.

The work, which is expected to last about a week, will be carried out from 7pm to 6am, Monday to Friday (including Saturday morning).

During the work, Stoneferry Road (southbound) will be closed from Ferry Lane Roundabout to Chamberlain Roundabout. This will include the Lorraine Street junction.

Councillor Dean Kirk, portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways said: “These closures will be overnight in order to minimise disruption and ensure this stage of the works can be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
