Bon Voyage to Team Manager Kelly

A truly great manager is hard to find, difficult to part with and impossible to forget.

We are all a little sad today as it is Team Manager Kelly’s last day with Hull City Council.

After 17 years with Hull City Council and 15 of those years working in Hull Fostering, Kelly has decided now is the time for pastures new and will soon be joining the NHS as a CAMHS Manager for Looked After Children.

Kelly has been an infamous character at Hull Fostering and she will leave a huge void. Although we wish her the very best, we are all a bit sad to see her go.

Kelly couldn’t leave without saying a few words; “In the 15 years I have been in fostering I’ve worked with hundreds of children and families; it’s been a genuine privilege to meet so many wonderful foster families over the years.

“It’s been a very emotional few weeks saying goodbye to you all, I’m really going to miss all our foster carers and especially your dogs! Thank you for opening your hearts and homes to me over the last 15 years.

“A highlight of my career was when I was given the ‘Social Worker of the Year’ award in 2014 after some of my carers nominated me. You won’t get away from me that easily though, I am moving over to manage CAMHS and I am sure many of you will still see me around as I advocate for children looked after.”

Please join us in wishing Kelly the best of luck in her new career.

Love,

Hull Fostering
