East Hull footpath resurfacing programme due to begin

A new footpath resurfacing and reconstruction programme is due to take place on Newtondale, Coverdale, Marsdale, Exton Close and Sheldon Close.

The proposed dates for each footpath are as followed:

  • Newtondale – Monday 27th January to Friday 7th March
  • Sheldon Close – Monday 24th February to Friday 7th March
  • Exton Close – Monday 3rd March to Friday 21st March
  • Marsdale – Monday 10th March to Friday 21st March
  • Coverdale – Monday 24th March to Friday 28th March

The work is due to be undertaken by Wright Civil Engineering.

Letters have been sent to affected residents on Newtondale and other letters for the remaining streets will be delivered a few weeks before each start date.

Road traffic will not be affected and residents will still be able to access their properties throughout the duration of the works.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, the council’s portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways, said: “This latest investment will mean better, safer footpaths for our residents, and we thank them for their patience while the works are completed.”
