Bankside is now back open to traffic following repair work by Yorkshire Water.
It reopened on Saturday 25 April, two days earlier than expected.
The road was closed between Air Street and Innovation Drive following a burst of a main strategic pipe two weeks ago.
Councillor Daren Hale, portfolio holder for economic investment, regeneration and planning, said: “We liaised with Yorkshire Water to ensure that this complex repair was carried out as soon as practically possible and are happy to report that it was reopened two days earlier than anticipated.”
