This weekend in Hull is all about BBC’s Contains Strong Language festival, with both free and ticketed performances taking place across the city.

We are also heading out to see some art at the University of Hull, catch a musical tribute to a legendary 1960s rock group, stop in at a beautiful event and take in an Old Town Walk before they end for winter.

The BBC’s national poetry and spoken-word festival, is back in Hull this weekend. The prestigious three-day celebration of the spoken word thrusts in the spotlight, featuring talent from Hull and across the country.
