With the school bell having chimed for the final time, families in Hull are gearing up for weeks of fun and adventure this summer.
And to help make the most of the long break, Visit Hull has released a fantastic new summer holiday calendar, packed with events and activities taking place across the city.
Alongside the calendar, a children’s activity booklet has also been produced that encourages visits to venues including the Streetlife Museum and Hull and East Riding Museum, Ferens Art Gallery, the Deep, Hull Minster, Dinostar, or follow the Fish Trail to earn stamps.
Along the way there are activities, with word searches, dot-to-dots, colouring and drawing to keep the kids entertained all day long.
Cllr Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for leisure and culture at Hull City Council, said:
“The summer holidays are a fantastic opportunity for families to get out and enjoy quality time together.
“This calendar and activity book make it really easy for parents and carers to navigate all the fantastic events, activities and places to see across the city.”
Copies of the calendar and booklet can be found online now or at each of the participating venues from Tuesday 30 July, including the Welcome Information Centre in Hull Interchange.
