Hull Museums, including the award-winning Ferens Art Gallery, are to extend their opening hours on Sundays.
The move comes as part of an opening hours rethink designed to better reflect visitor demand.
The Ferens and the citys museums will open at 11am on Sundays from 1 July to allow families and out-of-town visitors more time to visit. It follows a successful trial in 2017.
As part of the move, opening hours will be reduced slightly across the venues towards the end of the day when visitor numbers are at their lowest to stay within cost-efficient budgets.
The Ferens Art Gallery, Hull Maritime Museum, Wilberforce House Museum, Streetlife Museum and The Hull and East Riding Museum will open from 10am to 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays, with last admission time 30 minutes prior to closing. The new opening hours will come into effect on Sunday 1 July.
