Hull’s three household waste and recycling centres have closed with immediate effect.
The decision by Hull City Council comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced last night that only key workers are allowed to leave their homes to travel to work.
The centres are located in Burma Drive, Sutton Fields and Wiltshire Road.
A member of staff will be at each site to inform anyone who arrives at the site.
Leaders from across the Humber region are urging residents to follow Government advice and stay at home to protect loved ones from coronavirus.
