Young performers and choreographers from Hull will show off their talents at a dance performance taking place in the city.
Groups from across the city will perform street and contemporary dance at the event at the Hull Colleges Riverside Theatre.
It is part of Creative Voice, a Hull City Council youth arts initiative.
Hull Dance Youth Company will perform a new contemporary piece exploring themes of getting to know each other, using a mixture of live improvisations and set sections. It follows work with Hulls Lo:cus Dance Theatre.
Hull KR Dance Academy, Hulls Astra Youth Centre, Hull College and NYDC Hull, along with other companies from across Yorkshire, will also participate. Some of the companies are applying to represent the region at Fresh, the annual dance showcase at York Theatre Royal in March.
Councillor Terry Geraghty, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure and Chair of Hull Culture and Leisure Limited, said: Hull Dance, the councils initiative through our Arts Development team, has done a fantastic job in helping to provide a platform for these skilled young dancers.
Ruth Drake, Hull City Councils Arts Development Officer, said: Through hard work and dedication, these youngsters have earned the right to showcase their talents. These events prove that the future of dance in the city is very promising.
The event takes place on Sunday 28 January at 6.30pm at the colleges Horncastle Building in Wincolmlee, Hull.
