Travellers are being asked to check their journeys before travelling this Christmas, with some train services being subject to delays and cancellations due to staff shortages.
Staff sickness is significantly higher than usual due to the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant and other winter ailments.
⚠️ Due to lack of available staff, services across our network over the coming days may be subject to delays and short-notice cancellations. We’re sorry for any disruption caused to your journey.

Councillor Daren Hale, leader of Hull City Council: “With staff shortages effecting services across the country, it’s really important that passengers check their trains before travelling this Christmas.
“Cancellations and delays are unfortunately likely to happen, so I would advise all passengers – travelling both to and from Hull – to stay up to date with their travel plans to limit disruption when travelling during the Christmas period.”
