Work to begin on the Hall Road Carriageway Resurfacing Scheme

Essential maintenance work and carriageway repairs on Hall Road will start on Monday 27th September.

The vital works, will last up to two weeks and take place between 7am and 7pm, will see 4 way temporary traffic signals used on Hall Road Northbound, Hall Road Southbound and the junction of Inglemire Lane Eastbound and Inglemire Lane Westbound.

Councillor Dean Kirk, portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways, said:

“It’s essential that we carry out work to maintain the safety of road-users, especially in the lead up to the winter months where road surfaces are more likely to become hazardous.

“We have worked so that traffic signals can maintain a flow of traffic, and no road closures are in place.

“We appreciate the patience of local residents and businesses during this time.”

The work will be carried out in phases to help minimise disruption to residents and businesses, and vehicle access will be maintained where possible.

Scheduled bus services in the area will continue as normal and bin collections will not be affected by the works. A letter from the council has been sent to local businesses and residents informing them of the works and includes contact details of a member of the Major Projects & Infrastructure team, should they need it.
