Hull City Council is set to undertake essential carriageway resurfacing works on the roundabout connecting Blackwater Way, Kesteven Way and Kingsbury Way in Kingswood.
The programmed works will restore the roundabout’s road surface – which is in need of immediate repair – to ensure a safe, even highway for road users, with adequate grip and skid resistance.
The work is scheduled to take place on Thursday 29 January and Friday 30 January – weather permitting.
To maintain safety, and to minimise disruption for the traveling public, on these dates, the roundabout will be closed to all traffic from 9.30am until 3.30pm.
During the closures, a diversion route will be in place via the Wawne Road roundabout and Pioneer Road.
All pedestrian footways will be kept open during the works, and access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
Residents and businesses will receive advance notice via letter drop, and information boards will be placed on all approaches to the roundabout.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transport and infrastructure at Hull City Council, said: “Maintaining a safe and reliable road network is a top priority for us as a council, so I’m pleased these essential works are starting imminently.
“We know roadworks can be inconvenient, so we have carefully scheduled these works during off-peak hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
“Thank you, in advance, to local residents and businesses for your patience as we work to improve the highway infrastructure in this area of Hull.”
The scheme will be carried out by PBS Construction (NE) Limited on behalf of the council.
