Ferens Art Gallery and the Streetlife Museum will both reopen on Wednesday 22 July.
The two much-loved Hull destinations will reopen with measures in place to protect staff and visitors, in accordance with Public Health England guidance.
Entry will be by advance online booking only to manage the number of visitors at each site.
Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “I know how much people have missed our fantastic museum and galleries so I’m delighted that we are able to reopen Ferens and the Streetlife Museum this week.
“Staff have put a lot of work into introducing measures designed to keep visitors and staff as safe as possible, so it’s vitally important that people listen carefully to the guidance and staff when visiting our galleries and museums, as well as behaving responsibly at all times.”
Opening times will be Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm, and Sunday, 11am-3.30pm.
Tickets can be booked through the HCAL website or on Eventbrite by searching Ferens or Streetlife.
Visitors will be able to book a one-hour visit at each site to ensure access can be managed safely and effectively.
Visitors are asked to help us by keeping a responsible distance from each other and following the one-way systems that will be clearly marked on the floor and through signage.
Visitors are encouraged to wear face coverings/masks.
Hand sanitiser points will also be in use and all visitors will be asked to sanitise on arrival.
