An exhibition with work produced by young people with learning disabilities is now on display at Hull Central Library.
With support from the Bransholme Community Arts Enterprise emerging young artists have been able to experiment at Creative Club with creative art techniques in a relaxed, social setting.
Creative Club is an art club offering young people aged 16 + with learning disabilities, the opportunity to experiment with creative art techniques in a relaxed, social setting.
The exhibition is on display at Hull Central Library café area until Saturday 30 December during library opening times. Artworks from Ganton School pupils will also be on display.
Ganton School Headteacher, Meg Brown, said: Ganton School truly values the art and creative processes that run throughout our school. The work that has been selected today has been made by secondary and sixth form students and focuses on the texture and method of how art is created, exploring areas within printmaking, collage and pottery.
Ruth Drake, Hull City Councils Arts Development Officer, said: Young people have really invested their time into the Creative Club and shown a real commitment, interest and talent in the arts. They have put this exhibition together in just six weeks!
The group will continue to meet in 2018 at Hull College on Wednesday evenings between 6 – 8pm from 17 January.
