Hull City Council is excited to reveal the winners of its 2025 Christmas Card Competition, celebrating the creativity of young people across the city.
After an enthusiastic response from schools during November’s competition, a panel of judges selected two outstanding designs to form the Council’s official 2025 digital Christmas card. The winning entries will be shared with Council staff, partners and stakeholders across Hull and beyond this festive season.
The panel of judges selected Olivia from Thanet Primary School as the winner in the primary school category, and Orla from St Mary’s College as the winner of the secondary school category.
Runners-up were also chosen in both categories and will be recognised for their creative contributions. Dominik, from Southcoates Primary Academy, was chosen in the primary category, and Nikolija, from St Mary’s College, was picked in the secondary category.

The Leader of Hull City Council, Councillor Mike Ross, said: “We had so many great entries this year, particularly with secondary school pupils involved for the first time. We’d asked children for designs that celebrate how Christmas brings people together, with a Hull twist!
“The results really prove the young people in our city are full of creativity and imagination, and I’d like to thank everyone who submitted their entry.”
All four children received gift vouchers in recognition of their artistic achievement, and the winners were also invited to the Guildhall to meet the Lord Mayor, Councillor Cheryl Payne along with Councillor Ross.
