Healthy Holidays Hull is back for Christmas, bringing the usual exciting range of completely free activities for school aged children and young people living in Hull. There is something to suit everyone, including dedicated SEND sessions, throughout the winter break.
The fun on offer includes, swimming, sports, arts, dance, musical theatre and so much more. Warm zones are also making a return, providing a welcoming environment for families to socialise, enjoy a hot meal and get involved in crafts and games.
A full list of activities is live on the Healthy Holidays website now. Some need to be booked, so parents and carers are advised to check, to avoid missing out.
Cllr Linda Tock, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services, said: “Parents, children and young people will be pleased to hear the Healthy Holidays Hull programme is as packed as usual this holiday. The range and scope of entertainment on offer is fantastic as usual, with activities taking place throughout our local communities. Every interest is considered, and almost all sessions include a nutritious food offer, so there really is something for everyone to enjoy.
“We are also opening up our warm zones again, in addition to the activities just for children and young people. These are for the whole family and are a chance to have a hot meal, in a warm and welcoming space, with activities provided too.
“While children and young people look forward to the school holidays, we know that for many parents and carers, they can also pose a significant financial strain. The Healthy Holidays programme ensures all children have access to activities and food, while warm zones are a chance for families to have a hot meal together. The warm zones are welcoming and inclusive spaces, where everyone is welcome, whether they are personally celebrating Christmas or not”.
