Pearson Park will take a trip back in time this weekend as a free Victorian Summer event takes place.
This Saturday (21 August), the family friendly event will have a whole host of free activities including punch and judy shows, stilt-walkers and face painting, as well as vintage fairground rides, Scrapstore, giant chess and traditional Victorian games to try out.
The Humberside Police Concert Band will entertain in the bandstand and free guided history walks will be on offer from city tour guide, Paul Schofield.
Councillor John Fareham, Chairman of the Pearson Park Trust said: “Being a true Victorian Park, Pearson is the perfect backdrop for this summer event.
“Days like this are the reason the restoration of the park was so important, creating a place for communities to enjoy this stunning space.”
The event will run 11am – 3pm and is free to attend, no booking is required.
