Trinity Live, a weekly music event at Trinity Market, has been extended until Christmas.
The event, that takes place every Thursday evening, has attracted 9,500 people to market since launching in May – an average of 500 people per night.
It has also given a platform to almost 60 local bands and artists.
Councillor Dave Craker, portfolio holder for culture and leisure, said: “Trinity Live has been a resounding success. We had two main aims when launching the event, and those were to draw more people into the city centre on an evening and to give a platform to some of the fantastically talented musicians we have in the area – I’m delighted that we have managed to achieve both and that the event is continuing until Christmas.”
As well as the live music, various different market traders support the event by serving up their diverse selection of food and drink.
Trinity Live will now run under Thursday 19 December.
It starts at 6pm every Thursday at Trinity Market in Hull’s Old Town.
It is organised by Sesh Events, the people behind annual music festival Humber Street Sesh.
