Essential carriageway repairs are to continue in Holderness Road from Monday 18 August.
The work will be split into two phases.
For phase one in Holderness Road between Brazil Street and Witham, traffic management will be place with no access for cars turning right into Franklin and Brazil Street.
Field Street will b closed at the junction with Holderness Road. A diversion route will be in place via Mount Pleasant and Williamson Street. This work will take place on Sunday 8 September.
For phase two in Holderness Road and the Witham junction, work will take place from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September. Temporary traffic lights will be in place and Dansom Lane South will be closed at the junction with Holderness Road.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “These planned works are essential for Holderness Road and will ensure the longevity of the road surface.
“We are carrying out these works during the school summer holidays as traffic tends to be lighter on the roads. We hope this will minimise disruption to motorists and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained and outbound bus stops are unaffected, though inbound bus stops in the area will be suspended during the works. Bin collections are also unaffected.
