Plans for Hull’s House of Fraser building revealed

This is how the House of Fraser building in Hull could look under new plans revealed today.

A planning application to comprehensively redevelop 1 Paragon Square into a dynamic mix of retail, restaurant, residential and office space has been submitted to Hull City Council.

It has been submitted by Redefine Paragon Square Hull Limited, the freeholders of the famous building.

Its development team is now working with major stakeholders including Hull City Council, HullBID, House of Fraser and Cafe Nero.

Hull City Council deputy leader Daren Hale said: “We welcome the new development of the House of Fraser building, which has been a vital part of the Hull retail scene for decades.

“Hull City Council is working closely with the developers to ensure the planning process runs smoothly and that all stakeholders are happy with the process.”

A Redefine spokesperson said: “We have a fantastic all Hull local advisory and professional team who are driving the project forward with pride and passion.

“Our full sales and marketing campaign will be up and running within the next few weeks.

“We have already been overwhelmed by the demand for our luxury serviced apartments and more details and information will be released shortly on all other areas of the building, including retail, restaurants and our high-tech serviced offices.”
