Today is National Offer Day and families across Hull will have received their children’s primary school place allocation for September.
94.57% of pupils were offered their first preference of school this year.
98.24% of pupils were allocated one of their three preferences.
Pauline Turner, the Director of Children’s Services at Hull City Council said: “It’s great to see so many of our city’s pupils will be able to start school at their primary of preference, and that nearly all our children are being offered a place at one of their preferences.”
“It’s an important and exciting time for children and families across Hull.”
Any parent who did not get their first preference of school will receive a letter in the next couple of days which will include the appeal paperwork and guidance.
Parents can contact school admissions at lsadmissions@hullcc.gov.uk if they need to change their application or request a change of school.
