98 per cent of primary children received one of their three preferences.
Today (Tuesday 16 April) parents of 3238 four year-olds starting primary school this September, 2019, will be allocated a school place from Hull City Council.
The online application process continues to be extremely popular with parents, with 78 per cent of applications being made using this method.
Alison Murphy, corporate director for children and family services at Hull City Council, said: “I’m delighted that 93 per cent of children have been allocated their first preference primary school place and it’s great to see that so many parents and carers are continuing to apply using the online service.”
Those who applied online and requested a confirmation email will receive their email today (Tuesday 16 April) informing them of their allocated school. All other parents and carers will be sent a letter today.
Parents have until Thursday 2 May to inform us in writing if they do not wish to accept the place.
Any parent who is not allocated one of their preferred schools will be offered the right of appeal and appeal forms and guidance will be sent to parents with their allocation letter.
The completed forms should be returned to the admissions team by Thursday 30 May.
