Hull City Council is encouraging residents to install the new waste and recycling web app, to be in with a chance to win one of five £50 Love2Shop vouchers.
Running until Tuesday 30 June, residents who install Hull’s waste web app will automatically be entered into a prize draw.
Five £50 Love2Shop vouchers are up for grabs, with the winners selected at random and notified directly through the app.
The web app, which launched in March 2026, has been developed to support Hull’s Simpler Recycling rollout, a new government‑led policy designed to make recycling clearer and more consistent across the country.
With brown bin and outdoor food caddy collections now weekly, the web app puts everything residents need to know in one easy‑to‑access place, offering useful features such as bin collection day reminders and service updates.
Councillor Charles Quinn, portfolio holder for environment at Hull City Council said: “We want to make recycling as easy as possible for our residents, and this handy web app does exactly that — it puts all the information people need right at their fingertips.
“By simply installing the web app, residents could win one of five £50 Love2Shop vouchers, so it’s a great opportunity to try something new and be rewarded for it.
“I’d encourage everyone to download the app, give it a go, and see if they’re one of our lucky winners.”
Once notified, winners must email Simpler.Recycling@hullcc.gov.uk within10 working days, quoting a unique code to claim their voucher.
If a voucher is unclaimed within 10 days, a new winner will be selected at random.
