Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire councils will decide in the coming weeks on whether to move forward to the next stage of regional devolution.
The councils will consider the proposed arrangements for the Hull and East Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority in relation to its establishment, governance, legal powers, and the areas that it will be responsible for.
Full Council at East Riding of Yorkshire Council will now hear the final proposals and consider whether to progress with the creation of a combined authority tomorrow, Thursday 16 May.
Hull City Council’s Full Council will do likewise on Thursday 6 June.
Should both councils consent to the proposals, they will be presented before the Houses of Parliament later this year.
