Shocking pictures show the state of some properties in Hull, where residents have failed to clean up after themselves.
Hull City Council has prosecuted 20 members of the public for environmental crimes across the city.
The following notices were served under section 2(1)(b) Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978, in relation to waste that was unlawfully dumped in the city. Evidence was obtained against all the defendants, and as a result, they were issued with the appropriate enforcement action including significant fines.
Georgina West of Waterloo Street, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £1,006 for wastes found dumped on land near to her home in Waterloo Street.
Claudia Mehmet of Rustenburg Street, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £900 for waste found dumped near to her home in Rustenburg Street.
Florin Zamfir of Beverley Road, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £693 for bagged waste that was left next to bins in Vermont Street.
Jodie Sainsbury of Stroud Crescent, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £425 after she failed to respond to any correspondence from the council regarding waste that was found in an area of public land next to Stroud Crescent.
Petrica Memet of Beverley Road, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £435 for waste found unlawfully deposited in Suffolk Street.
Vasile Stefan of Blaydes Street, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £425 for waste found dumped in Haworth Street.
Guy Chiverton, of St Georges Road, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £215 for waste found in Suffolk Street.
Tara Rawson of Hardane, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £425 after she failed to respond to any correspondence from the council regarding waste that was found in Hardane.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for waste management, said: “Improving environmental standards is a top priority for the council, and we are prosecuting those who fly-tip.
“Fly-tipping and littering is anti-social behaviour, and there is no excuse for it.”

The following residents have been prosecuted under the Environmental Protection Act.
Under Section 110(2)(b) Environment Act 1995, Katherine Lambert of Cuthbert Avenue, Aire Street, Hull was ordered to pay a total of £425 after she failed to respond to any correspondence from the council regarding waste that was found in Coltman Street. Nicusor Neagu was also fined £425 for waste that was dumped near his home in Tavistock Street. Viktoras Irkinas of Sailsbury Gardens, Hull was ordered to pay a total of £445 after waste was discovered with his details in Raglan Street.
Under Section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Susan Moverley of Albermarle Street, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £600 under section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, for failing to clear her garden of accumulated waste. Samantha Smith of Manor Road was also fined £315 and received a 12 month conditional discharge for failing to clear a large amount of rubbish in her garden. Under the same act, Adele Bamforth of Axdane Hull was fined £235 for the state of her land, with Susan Falconer and Leanne Gill being fined £500 each for the condition of a property in Axdane.
Under the same act, Irinel Ciobanu of Pavilion Crescent, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay £590 after the condition of his property was deemed to be having a detrimental effect on the surrounding area.
Roger Andrew of Sandringham Street was fined £535 for failing to comply with a statutory notice served under Section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The notice was served in response to the state of his property having a detrimental effect in the neighbourhood. Bryan Wilson of Laburnum Avenue, Hull, was ordered to pay £1,017. He refused to comply with the notice, and as a result, was prosecuted under the same act.
Daunt Balan of Albany Street, Hull was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £375 for littering in Suffolk Street, Hull.
