Essential cleaning of the canopy over Murdoch’s Connection Bridge is scheduled to commence next week.
On the evenings of Monday 17 March and Tuesday 18 March, the bridges canopy is expected to receive a thorough clean, to enhance the appearance and longevity of the structure.
This maintenance work has been carefully coordinated to take place alongside the planned overnight closures on the A63 Castle Street, which have been organised by National Highways and their contractor, Balfour Beatty.
Councillor Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways at Hull City Council, said: “This essential cleaning operation is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining Hull’s infrastructure.
“By coordinating with National Highways and Balfour Beatty, as well as carrying out the works overnight, we aim to minimise any inconvenience to the public while ensuring that essential maintenance is carried out efficiently and effectively.
“We are dedicated to ensuring Hull’s infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, and I look forward to seeing Murdoch’s Bridge thoroughly cleaned and restored to its optimal condition.”
