Work to reconstruct the road in Pembroke Grove will begin from next week.
The work will start on Monday 18 January and take place in three phases in order to minimise disruption to traffic. It will take place from St John’s Grove to Downing Grove and a diversion route will be in place.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways at Hull City Council, said: “We are carrying out this work in a phased manner in order to minimise disruption to motorists, however this work is necessary, and we apologise for any delays.
“We ask that motorists are patient while we carry out these essential repairs.”
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times, where possible.
The work is being carried out by Wright Civil Engineering Ltd and will take seven weeks to complete.
