One of the world’s most influential and ground-breaking artists is coming to Hull later this year.
Bob Dylan will perform at the Bonus Arena on Thursday, 27 October and tickets go on general sale on Friday at 10am.
The Rough and Rowdy Ways World Tour will kick off in Europe with shows in Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK.
Having sold in excess of 125-million records, the iconic Bob Dylan needs no introduction. He is one of the best selling artists of all time, responsible for songs such as “Blowin In The Wind,” “Mr Tambourine Man” and “Times They Are A Changin’”.
He has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, 10 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award.
Bob Dylan has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The Pulitzer Prize Board in 2008 awarded him a special citation for “his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power”.
The Hull gig will also be a phone-free event, as per the other dates on Bob Dylan’s tour. This means phones cannot be used inside the arena during the performance, but can be unlocked by going to a dedicated and signposted area.
Tickets for this all seated gig go on general sale on Friday at 10am from www.bonusarenahull.com or by visiting Ticketmaster.
