An exhibition to celebrate gypsy, Roma and traveller culture will open at Hull’s Streetlife Museum this month.
The exhibition, from Thursday 13 June to Thursday 27 June, has been set up to help people to learn more about the history and heritage of these cultures and promote its positive impact on British society.
It marks Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month, which takes place in June.
Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “This is a fascinating exhibition that shines a light on a culture that has made a positive contribution to British society for centuries.
“It highlights the varied and diverse offer at the city’s wonderful museums.”
Admission to the exhibition is free.
