Hull Central Library welcomes new author for debut novel discussion

Hull Central Library will play host to new author Rose Wilding next week.

Free tickets are now available to book for Saturday 21 September, when Rose will be discussing her debut novel, Speak of the Devil with fellow author, Tim Rideout.

Speak of the Devil is an addictive feminist thriller about love, loyalty, and manipulation.

Rising star novelist, Rose studied at Sunderland University before obtaining a MA in Creative Writing from Manchester University under the tutelage of author Jeanette Winterson.

During the event, she will be talking about her writing career and the inspirations that fuelled her debut novel, followed by an audience Q&A.

The event will take place 2 – 3pm on Saturday 21 September at Hull Central Library. The book will be available to buy and Rose will be on hand to sign copies.

Cllr Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: “This event is another example of the excellent programme of activities available across the Hull Libraries service and I expect it will prove incredibly popular with avid readers in the city.”

Free audience tickets for the event are available here. Anyone unable to attend, but would like to join a livestream, can register here.

This event was made possible through Hull Libraries’ collaboration with New Writing North and Arts Council England.
